When a guy is not interested in you, there are signs he shows. Just as the saying goes, “actions speak louder than words”. These days, guys don’t say a word when they are not interested in ladies—they act.
Breakups and heartbreaks are common these days because some guys think the only way they can express displeasure is by acting strangely.
Well, a guy that really loves you won’t leave, no matter the problem arising—proper communication would have been the next line of action. Please note, ladies show attitude too, but I will focus on guys today.
Guys will show the following signs if they are not interested in you:
1. Little or Zero Communication
A guy that truly loves you will communicate with you often, no matter how busy. He will want to know how you are feeling and how your day is going. When a guy limits his communication or duration of calls, act wisely—it is likely there is another fish in the basket.
2. Ignoring Text Messages & Phone Calls
A guy that truly loves you will never ignore your calls, and if he does, probably he was super busy, he will definitely call back.
One of the easiest ways to know that a guy is not interested in you is that he won’t call back if he misses your calls. He calls whenever he feels like calling a friend. When you complain, he will start fabricating excuses. Funny enough, he might be online on social media and still won’t reply to your message on time. The statement that will be coming out of his mouth is “I’m busy”.
Once a guy is doing this, the red card is ticking—just apply wisdom. A guy that loves you will create time for you no matter how busy.
3. He Will Not Be Interested in What You Have to Say
A guy that loves you truly will pay attention to every detail about you. If a guy doesn’t love you, he will blank out on conversations you had with him. Sometimes he just forgets what you discussed with him because he is not just interested.
If a guy isn’t interested in you anymore, he won’t give attention to what you say, he won’t ask many questions or engage in meaningful discussions with you. If you are together sometimes, he will focus more on his phone rather than giving you attention.
A guy that loves you will want to connect with you, hear everything that matters—and even what doesn’t matter.
4. He Doesn’t Prioritize You
A guy that loves you will prioritize you and see you as someone important to him.
If a guy suddenly feels unusually busy, doing something strange and taking them more seriously than you—like catching up with friends, going to the gym, coming late from work, differing in some way from the normal norm—and his excuses are getting flimsier and flimsier, just know he is canceling on you more and more.
A guy with such attitude is losing interest in you or giving up on you, probably because he has someone else. Such a person won’t care about the consequences of canceling on you at the last minute. Think twice and act wisely.
5. He Spends Less Time with You
When a guy feels like spending less time with you and it’s bothering you, this could be a sign that he is no longer interested in you—especially if he used to save the weekends for you, and after some time, he starts coming up with excuses here and there.
Please keep in mind that he may start to miss his friends since you are in a relationship, and he may want to hang out with the guys sometimes—it is normal.
Also, something can come up occasionally, but if it’s getting to the point that he doesn’t care about spending less time with you, this could be a sign of losing interest in you.
6. He Is Going Out of Town Without Contact
A guy that truly loves you will get in touch with you often, no matter the location or distance.
When a guy is not getting in touch with you whenever he travels out of town, and you haven’t heard from him for like two to three days, this is a bad sign. Sometimes, a guy’s disappearance for days means he is losing interest.
A man who truly loves you will care for you. When he cares for you, he will want to know what’s going on in your life, whether he is available or not. A guy that is really interested in you will miss you when he is unavailable.
7. He Doesn’t React When You Talk About Guys
Sometimes you need to make a guy feel jealous to find out if he is truly interested in you. You may try to see his reaction by mentioning other guys’ names, telling him you’ve been hanging out with them—his reaction will determine if he is interested in you or not.
Men are highly competitive in nature. If at the mention of other guys, he doesn’t feel jealous a little or shows no reaction, it’s a major sign that he is not interested. Please don’t overdo this.
8. His Body Language Changes
Actions speak louder and clearer than words. When a guy loves you, it will be written all over him, and you will see it in his actions whether you are there or not.
When you notice that he doesn’t make eye contact or stare at you, doesn’t sit close to you, or he usually turns his body away from you—then he is up to something.
9. You Are the Only One Putting in Effort
If you feel that most times, you are the first person to call him, the first person to message him, and the first person to initiate plans—but he is not proactive about things that pertain to you—something is wrong.
If you stop calling or messaging him, you will never hear from him. You can carry out a test: look and compare the way he behaved at the beginning of the relationship and how he is acting now. With that, you will know if he is for you or not.
10. It’s Going Nowhere
Sometimes you may discover by yourself that your relationship with this guy is going nowhere. All you have to do is think wisely and act.
Sometimes your instinct may tell you this relationship is going nowhere, or you have this feeling through his reactions that this one just wants to eat and run. Before he runs you down, it is better you run out.
